| Notes | The poem written sometime during the early 2000s portrays a scene from the travels of a group of people who climb the Andes. An Irishman who works there, is very talkative and is compared to a 'vulture' looking for a 'victim'. References to the threat of a possible ambush by the Colombian guerrillas while climbing the Andes invests the poem with a sinister tone. |
