Paratext Text | Kosovo |
Notes | An asylum/prisoner of war camp in Kosovo is described here. No details are given about why anyone is locked up in the 'asylum'- however the conditions seem to be very poor and the prisoners are in a state of undress and hunger. 'Asylum' could refer to the seeking of asylum in a foreign country as well. Irish peacekeepers, who are about to head home to Ireland, share their cigarettes, sweets, and chocolate with the inmates, throwing them over the coiled wire of the asylum. |
