Paratext Text I Mainistir Donskoi, Moscó, 1985. Nóta: Níor dhún an Stát Mainistir Donskoi riamh. Is láthair Chríostaí i gcónaí í.
Notes This poem describes the Monastery of Donskoi, in Moscow, and the women who live there. Since Christianity was maligned by the Soviet régime, the women attempt to keep the traditions of their ancestors alive in the 'forgotten corner' of the monastery - i.e. Christianity. The speaker also describes the adoration of Lenin, before and after his death. He is treated like a Christ-like figure and his influence over Russian life is significant.
