| Notes | This poem describes the speaker of the poem's connection to her homeland, India - from the markets, to the people, to the tea, to reading the Times of India, and various other aspects of the Indian culture which she sorely misses. She worries that her children are missing out on an integral part of their culture, as she feels that they are losing out on a 'point of reference'. Overall, however, she misses most 'being / who I thought I was.' |
