Paratext Text Leagan Gaeilge den dán le Shi Tao a bhí mar chuid de dhán sealaíochta PEN (www.penpoemrelay.org). Chomhtharla sealaíocht fhíorúil d'aistriúcháin an dáin le linn ghluaiseacht an Tóirse Oilimpigh go Beijing i 2008, eagraithe ag PEN Idirnáisiúnta, le gearán a dhéanamh le rialtas na Síne mar go bhfuil Shi Tao i ngéibheann ansin
Notes The paratext explains the context of this poem. It is a translation of a poem by Shi Tao, a Chinese writer and journalist, imprisoned by the Chinese government in 2004. Shi Tao's poem was written in commemoration of the victims of the Tiananmen Square Massacre, which occurred on 4 June 1989. The poem was translated into a number of languages as part of the PEN poem rally in the run-up to the Beijing 2008 Olympics in protest at Shi Tao's ongoing incarceration.
