Notes	Poem which weaves the spatial colonization of Ireland in the past with the present-day use of Shannon Airport by American troops. Based on a thesis he reads, the speaker of the poem includes sections explaining the cartography of English colonization of Ireland. These sections are significant in the context of the American troops making their way through the airport. While the speaker doesn't state outright his thoughts on the matter, it is known that Shannon Airport was used during the War on Terror to transport troops and weapons to the Middle East. The speaker seems to be making a comment about American neo-colonization of the Middle East, and of Ireland itself.
